All that we can say with confidence appears in the table above, but we know little about him as a person, other than that he was an only sonCWGC.
He was one of Uttoxeter’s losses on the opening day of the German Spring Offensives of March 1918.
He has no known grave and is commemorated on bay 7 of the Arras Memorial4.
