During our research we have discovered that the town War Memorial currently does not record all the soldiers with Uttoxeter connections who died in World War 1. The town council have agreed that these names should be added to the memorial and JCB have kindly agreed to pay for the necessary extra bronze plaques.

The work will be carried out alongside refurbishment work on the memorial and will be completed before the 2018 armistice remembrance events

We would like if possible to have surviving relatives attend the unveiling of the new plaques, if you are related to any of the soldiers listed below, please get in touch.

Please Note these are men with strong connections to Uttoxeter, who are not on the Uttoxeter Town Memorial, they may be remembered on other war memorials.
